Scope:
- The cell functions continuously to monitor the employment potentials and arrange campus interviews for students. It maintains a consistent communication with leading organizations which conduct campus interview and selects graduate and post graduate students from all disciplines.
- The placement office serves to bridge the gap between a job applicant and a potential employer and aids the students to plan their careers by providing in-dept information about the industries which approach the college
- As far as training of students is concerned, training/workshops are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the students for career development and campus selection programs.
Objectives:
- To have close liaison with industry for placement of students
- To work in consultation with coordinator Industry –Institute Interaction for organizing lectures from the professionals from industry
- To organize the entrepreneurship workshops
- To arrange for the placement of the students through campus interview during their course of study as well as after their passing out
- To collect feedback from the companies coming
Activities
The activities organized by Employment and Placement cell are as follows:
- Campus Interview
- A campus interview was organized on 18th & 19th August 2017 for Rainbow Hospital bangalore. Nursing students of Yenepoya Nursing College (40), Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences (9), Zuleka Nursing College (52) and SCS College of Nursing (48) attended the interview and all of them were selected for the same.
- A campus interview by Max Health Care, New Delhi was organized on 9th September 2017. Total 40 outgoing nursing students attended the interview and all of them were selected for the same.
Seminar
- A seminar was conducted on 27th September 2017 on the topic “Recruitment in UK” for the outgoing batch of nursing students at Lecture Hall IV, Yenepoya Nursing College.
- A seminar was conducted on 28th February 2018 on the topic “was “Coaching of IELTS and Career guidance for UK” by Peecis career academy, Islamic Trust Complex, Hampankatta, Mangaluru for the outgoing batch of nursing students at Lecture hall – I Yenepoya Medial College.
- Workshop:
- In Collaboration with ACTS Yen organized a workshop on BLS programme on 20th June 2017 at ACTS Yen auditorium. 43 students including UG & PG and staff of Yenepoya Institutions attend the workshop
- A workshop on “ CV writing and interview skills” was organized for UG students of Yenepoya Nursing College, on 24th June 2017 at ACTS YEN Auditorium
