Mental Health Nursing

Vision:

    Foster the contribution of nurses to the improvement of mental health in society by providing the highest quality care for individuals with mental disorders and their families and by promoting mental health and  preventing mental illness

Mission:

    Educate our students to be competent in providing evidence based, comprehensive and ethical health care which is of high quality for the client, family and the community.
    Inculcate a passion for lifelong learning and prepare our students to be leaders and researchers in the field of psychiatric nursing.

Objectives:

    Provide quality education for students using interactive teaching methods in the classroom and clinical areas.
    Prepare the students to become nurse leaders, educators and researchers.
    Update knowledge and skills of the faculty through faculty development programs and research.
    Conduct departmental and interdepartmental research activities for the contribution to evidence- based practice in psychiatric nursing.
